This project was to make content for an artist’s tour. For the project I created tour materials for the artist Billie Ellish. Billie Ellish is an upcoming artist, and has gained a lot of popularity over the past year. The content creates a sense of confusion. I wanted the design to be beautiful and to relate to the tone of her voice and lyrics to her songs. The design also has components that are dark, and relates to her songs and personal style.
ALBUM COVER
The front of the album displays a leaking liquid coming out of a form, along with a simplistic title and artist name. The back of the album shows where the form is coming from. The image displays an illustration of an old television spilling out liquid, along with a drink and pills. The design is mysterious and dark, leaving the viewer wondering, yet it is filled with beautiful colors. The clean and sleek design balances the chaos happening in the image.
TOUR MATERIALS
The tour posters displays similar elements such as the album cover. The poster also uses a clean and geometric typeface balancing the organic forms in the image. The type is also used as a design element.
